With the help of volunteers, a 7-day pilot “Sewing Hope” programme was created and implemented for the Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation at the Baharka Camp. The programme encompassed a total of 14 different workshops and included the basics of machine sewing and various sewing projects ranging from reversible tote bags, zipped pouches and clothing like skirts, tunic tops, pants, etc. 24 ladies successfully completed the programme. Subsequent to our involvement, BHHF continues to support the women by paying them regular salaries to sew jajim bags for sale.
