We run a regular monthly sewing workshop at the women’s centre in the Philippines Overseas Labour Office of the Philippines Embassy. With the help of volunteers, we conduct a whole day session on a Friday that teaches the basics of machine sewing and two sewing projects. We also return the following Wednesday to teach the same women a couple more advanced sewing projects helpful hints. Each workshop impacts between 16-20 women. We run this programme on a pro-bono basis but rely on sponsors for equipment and sewing supplies and materials.
